About this event

This is a FREE event open to all library staff working in Ohio.

Many libraries are involved in food service programs already, and these opportunities are growing every year. In the past year, temporary waivers have expanded access to federal reimbursement programs as a result of the pandemic, making almost every public library in Ohio eligible to participate in meal distributions for children in some capacity. Do you want to provide free meals to hungry kids in your area? Join Team Vittles and the Children's Hunger Alliance to learn about the current regulations that allow program participants to do this with no cost, with food delivered to your library, and far less mandatory paperwork than you might expect.

Attendees of this session will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the Summer Food Service Program and the Child & Adult Care Food Program

• Explore ways that the Children’s Hunger Alliance works to support these programs across Ohio

• Hear from individuals who have started food service programs in their areas from the ground up

• Ask our presenters questions during a Q&A Panel, with plenty of time for discussion

Who Should Attend:

Library staff who work in outreach, programming and community development, and anyone with an interest in the topic.
